We are currently seeking an Internal Control Analyst to help grow and mature our first line of defense internal control testing function and act as a trusted partner to management in helping them assess and improve their controls. This role plays a critical part in evaluating the effectiveness of the Company s control environment. This role sits within the Enterprise Technology & Operations division and will test various types of internal controls with a focus on operational functions.

Your ability to evaluate the design and operation of an internal control is a critical success factor. Responsibilities:

• Develop test plans for internal controls using industry accepted testing methodologies to assess control design and determine effectiveness.
• Work directly with control owners and management to test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Ensure that internal controls and testing methods align with established industry frameworks and standards (e.g., COSO, COBIT, etc.).
• Report on testing results and advise management regarding opportunities to improve their internal controls.
• Participate in initiatives regarding enhancements to our testing approach and internal control environment.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders across multiple business units in fulfilling job responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in control testing, internal audit, risk management, or other directly related experience.
• 2 years of experience interacting with management in internal control related functions.
• Demonstrated results in designing and performing internal control tests or related internal control assessments.
• Experience developing testing or assessment conclusions and presenting results to management.
• A bachelor s degree in business, accounting, information systems, risk management or a related field.
• A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.

Plus:

• Related professional certifications (CIA, CPA, CISA, etc.).
• Work experience in the banking industry and knowledge of bank operations.
• Experience using the RSA Archer application.

Location:

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
