Cinder + Salt is Hiring a Retail Store Key Holder (Apparel) Near Middletown, CT
Cinder Salt is an eco-friendly, screen-printed apparel brand with a mission to create fresh, fun fashion with integrity. We are currently seeking part-to-full time key-holders to work in our Middletown, CT location.
Candidates should have a background in, or passion for fashion & apparel, understand how excellent customer service translates to customer loyalty, employ creativity & have great interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities include :
- Maintaining a thoughtfully merchandised & well curated storefront.
- Creating an inviting & engaging shopping experience for our guests
- Modeling excellent customer service
- Assisting guests with product recommendations, fitting room needs & packing & shipping orders
- Ensuring all cash handling and loss prevention procedures are followed
- Maximizing retail sales in store using our marketing strategies
- Planning & executing monthly in-store events with set themes & budgets
- Basic store upkeep - water plants, clean windows, sweep, etc
- Updating product offerings on our site & curate site collections
- Contributing to social media through stories, engagement & occasionally scheduling content
- Assisting with the Indie Makers Market for Middletown Arts Fest and getting to know local makers for our sidewalk vendor opportunities
Applicants should be passionate about small business, environmental sustainability & fashion/apparel. Must be self motivated & able to work independently. Qualified applicants should also have reliable transportation and be punctual.
Qualifications :
- 1 years experience in retail and/or sales in an adjacent field (fashion, gift, etc)
- Strong time management & organizational skills
- Exceptional communication & customer service skills
- Creative & visual skills and understanding of merchandising principles.
- A passion for sustainability & eco-friendly living
- Comfortable using POS systems, alarms and basic computer skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
