What are we looking for?We are searching for individuals to perform visual inspections and collect oil samples from energized transformers in the Middlebury, VT area and ship to our lab in Northeast Ohio. As a Field Inspection Technician, you will play an essential role in our mission to keep our customers connected. By completing our paid 12 week training program, we make sure you have all the training you need to be successful.
What you’ll bring to SDMyers:Experienced history with mechanical or electrical, ability to travel extensively, a demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to safety, valid driver’s license with good driving record and the ability to pass a physical and drug screen. Once trained, you will work solo, so you’ll need a high level of integrity & initiative as you’ll be an ambassador of SDMyers to our customers.

Important things to know:
- This job will be done outdoors in a clean or dirty environment and may have exposure to wildlife and inclement weather.
- Extensive driving time in a company vehicle; air travel may be required at times.
- We put safety first – you will work in industrial environments and around live electrical equipment and substations, and you will be fully trained to perform all tasks safely. We also provide uniforms, all PPE, and all equipment needed to work safe, so you can get back home safe.
- Weekly Travel - Leave Monday and be back Friday. Home every weekend.
