Follow Your Heart Animal Hospital is Hiring a Veterinarian Near Mesa, AZ

About us

Follow Your Heart Animal Hospital is a small business in Mesa, AZ. We are supportive, inclusive, and bold. We believe in empowering and supporting our staff.

Our work environment includes:

  • Flexible working hours
  • No weekend hours
  • Lively atmosphere
  • Company perks

We are a General Practice with a dedicated 2400 Square Foot Pet Hospital providing outstanding Veterinary Services as well as a market adjoining to provide healthy quality food at an affordable price with adoptable dogs/puppies available via Follow Your Heart Animal Rescue. We feature in-house diagnostic equipment, digital radiography, paperless records (Covetrus Pulse/Evet), and a well-equipped surgical suite.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Veterinarian to join our team!

Follow your heart animal hospital is hiring! We are searching for the right veterinarian to help us save animals - both rescue and owned. We know that hospitals all over the valley are hiring right now, but we feel comfortable in saying very few compete with our clinic culture and benefits.

1. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8-5pm. Whether you’re looking to work half days or full days- we are willing to work with you to make a schedule that fits both of our needs. We prioritize your life away from work and will work with you to accommodate a schedule that allows you to be with your family.

This also means we are not requiring a contract. If you’d prefer one to feel more comfortable in your position, it can certainly be provided. We also understand that other clinics are in need and many doctors work relief as a means to help, and also why we are not requiring a non compete.

2. Our staff atmosphere is next to none. Our technical staff is highly skilled and devoted to excellent patient care. We are a small practice and feel confident that our hospital and staff provide a lively atmosphere with exceptional support. We believe in our staff and are firm believers on the client not always being right. Our staff works hard and do not need to feel belittled or in the wrong for doing what is best for the animals and themselves. We believe in learning to better ourselves each and every day.

3. As a non profit hospital, there are no production quotas or pressure to up sell. We have a set amount to make per day. Anything over that is turned into perks for staff, bringing in new equipment, or helping lower income families.

If you choose to work full time (minimum of 30 hours per week-4 days/week), you qualify for benefits - PTO, medical, dental, vision and life insurance- as well as public service loan forgiveness. We will also cover licensing fees (DEA and state licensing) for full time employees. We also have an excellent staff benefit plan that truly supports our staff into providing excellent care for their personal animals.

We really do care about each other - veterinary medicine is a difficult field that has only gotten more difficult in the past few years. We want you to have the freedom to practice medicine and know that we will do whatever we can to support you and make sure you feel both mentally and emotionally supported in your work environment.

Below are some of the key functions that the veterinarian will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating, diagnosing and prescribing treatment for pets in the Hospital.
  • Ensure hospital compliance with state veterinary requirements.
  • Partner on the development and updating of standard medical recommendations
  • Evaluate current medical offerings and make recommendations on additional services.
  • Create a work culture that fosters inclusion, engagement and the need to work as a dynamic highly skilled team.
  • Performing veterinary surgical procedures and treatments (optional)

Please send us an email to Heather.pendleton@followyourheartfoundation.org. We can’t wait to meet you!
