Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. As a Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the restoration and repair of properties affected by water damage, fire damage, mold growth, and other related issues. Your expertise in carpet cleaning, water damage restoration, asbestos abatement, fire restoration, and mold remediation will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of restoration projects.
Duties:
- Perform water extraction and drying techniques to mitigate water damage
- Conduct thorough inspections to assess the extent of damage and develop appropriate restoration plans
- Remove and dispose of damaged materials such as carpeting, drywall, insulation, and furniture
- Clean and sanitize affected areas to prevent mold growth and ensure a safe environment
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and reconstruction work
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards during all restoration activities
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete projects within specified timelines
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of materials used and hours worked
Experience:
- Proven experience in carpet cleaning, water damage restoration, asbestos abatement, fire restoration, mold remediation, or related fields
- Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and techniques for restoration work
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repair and reconstruction tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during the restoration process
