JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent and one of the following: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program. Documented successful completion of the following courses (or their recognized course equivalent): (1) Medical Terminology from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class, (2) Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class, and (3) Pharmacology from an accredited institution. Two years of Medical Assistant-related work experience and completion of the required educational courses listed above within the first 12 months from hire. Preferred/Optional: Experience in healthcare. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.
