** High School level Math Tutor Needed **

Stonebridge Tutoring in Meridian has an opening for a new tutor. Stonebridge provides tutoring to K-12 students, as well as adults in college or needing support in specific learning pursuits. While we provide content tutoring, we specialize in Executive Function support, and I'm looking for a new tutor who is able and eager to learn about EF and the strategies we use to support students with weaknesses in Executive Functioning.

This is a unique opportunity because, while there is a great need for EF trained educational specialists, there are very few educators who carry this expertise, and we are looking for the right candidate to engage with our growing clientele and support their learning needs. Ideally, Stonebridge is looking for a contractor who is focused on teaching, whether as a licensed teacher, as someone pursuing a degree in education, or someone who is otherwise appropriately associated with education. Those interested in SPED, especially, will find this a great opportunity to learn how to work with this underserved population of students.

We are specifically in need of a tutor who is able to teach high school level math. Being comfortable in high school Chemistry and Physics would be a plus.

Hours will vary, as our client load shifts a bit over the course of the year, but during the school year, most hours will be in the after school hours (late afternoons and evenings). During the summer, hours are much more flexible, as some families prefer to meet earlier in the day. We have a substantial waiting list at this time, and we're eager to find the right person to join the team as soon as possible.

While we will consider candidates who are still completing their degree, we are looking for someone who is either in the final years of their studies or has already obtained their degree in either education, or the subject they will be tutoring.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Some tutors choose to wear a mask during sessions, though we do not require that of students. We enforce the masking rules of the facilities we are teaching in and require that families reschedule if there is anyone in their home who is ill.
