Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management and accounting practices.

Experience in Sage 100 accounting software is required

Experience with prevailing wage is required

Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data
- Assist with general ledger reconciliation related to payroll transactions

Experience:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience with Sage 100
- Knowledge of account reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping
- Familiarity with Exaktime for timekeeping
- Ability to perform general ledger accounting tasks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
