Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management within the manufacturing industry and the ability to build strategic relationships with suppliers. Position Responsibilities:
· Source and procure materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations and order fulfillment.
· Evaluate supplier proposals and establish favorable pricing and terms.
· Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and lead times using procurement software.
· Collaborate with internal departments to assess procurement needs, forecast demand, and develop sourcing strategies.
· Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain optimization initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role within the manufacturing industry.
· Ability to cultivate and maintain supplier relationships.
· Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (Jobboss), and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Solid understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
