Harmony Enrichment is an organization that specializes in teaching Arts and Crafts, Jewelry Making and Calligraphy and Brush Painting. Our goal is to enhance the imagination and creativity of our students through their interests and learning. We aim to help them discover their strengths and passions.

In this current school year, we are offering after school classes at Laurel, Encinal and Oak Knoll Elementary School.

After School Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Must be available to work Monday from 2:20 - 4:20pm, Tuesdays from 2:30-4:00pm, Wednesday from 2:30-4:00pm, Thursdays from 1:00-2:30pm and Friday from 2:20 - 4:20pm. (Closed on school holidays and during the winter and summer break while school is not in session)
• Classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment for students
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in various subjects, including Arts and Crafts, Jewelry Making and Calligraphy and Brush Painting
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to discuss student progress
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom/workspace
• conflict resolution/peacemaking

Experience:

• Experience working with children in a tutoring, daycare, or physical education setting
• Knowledge of teaching best practices and willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Arts and Crafts, Jewelry Making and Calligraphy and Brush Painting (Preferred)
• Knowledge of child welfare and development principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dedicated work ethic; proactive, responsible, and reliable
• Well-organized and committed
• Ability to be adaptable and successfully multi-task
• Effective in developing confidence and motivation in children
