Setting: Outpatient – Treatment Center / OTP

Location: Menands, NY

Schedule: Full time, M–F, 7a–3p

The Nurse Practitioner will perform direct patient care within an outpatient treatment center. Duties to include, but may not be limited to:

•Perform comprehensive medical history, examinations, ordering appropriate lab and x-rays, updates diagnosis and medications as needed

•Assess for the appropriateness of medication assisted treatments for substance use and co-occurring disorders

•Develop and implement patient management plans, medication and therapy recommendations, and assists with continuity of care planning

•Provide induction, monitor, titrating, maintenance, and tapering as clinically appropriate, Evaluation and treatment of medical emergencies

•Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and treatments

•Assess and manage effects and/or side effects of medications

•Providing other services as required at request of the Medical Director and/or Administrator

REQUIREMENTS:

- Unrestricted and active NYS Nurse Practitioner licensure

- Must have at least 1 year of recent addiction medicine or treatment of individuals with substance use disorders (OTP (opioid treatment program), addiction, rehab, methadone, MAT)

- Active or ability to obtain, unrestricted DEA licensure and DATA 2000 waiver

- Medicaid number preferred
