Summary:
The EMT-Paramedic assists the nursing/medical staff in providing various patient care activities and related services necessary to care for the health needs of the patient to include physical exam, routine test, and administering medications as required and in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
Education Requirement:
High School graduate or equivalent required. Successful completion of an approved Paramedic program required.
Qualified by education, training, and experience to work with the adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.
Experience Requirement:
Six (6) months experience as a Paramedic required. Must successfully complete unit specific competencies.
Licensure/Certification Requirement:
Paramedic license approved by the State of Tennessee required. Basic Life Support certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within first year of hire.
