Director of Laboratory Services
As a three-hospital healthcare system, the Director of Laboratory Services will provide strategic leadership for all Laboratory Services within our Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) and our Asante Ashland Community Hospital (AACH) locations. As a Director, you will coordinate resources and collaborate with physicians and management to ensure service level compliance with the strategic direction of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages use of resources within budget parameters and achievement of established objectives.
- Establishes objectives to achieve assignments and goals of areas of responsibility.
- Acts as primary liaisons for all physicians involved in Laboratory Services for ARRMC and AACH, facilitating decision making and agreement on operational decisions.
- Maintains a Quality Management System to Ensure Compliance with Regulatory Agencies. Establishes a Culture that Focuses on Patient Safety
- Provides strategic oversight on issues such as human resources, laboratory operations, finances, and contracts for identified areas
Position Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience in a pathologist directed laboratory required
- Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to develop and maintain continuous inter-department relationships and successfully functioning of laboratory services
- Experience in fostering working environment that motivates staff to continuously develop, adapt and deliver high quality services
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Laboratory Medicine, or related science
- MLS: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT(ASCP) may be accepted in lieu of MLS(ASCP)
