Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and appearance of facilities by performing a range of maintenance tasks and painting duties. This role involves conducting routine inspections, addressing repairs, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and aesthetic appeal. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint to various structures. 

Requirements

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of facilities and equipment.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and smoothing.
• Select and mix paint colors to ensure consistency and match existing surfaces.
• Apply paint to walls, ceilings, equipment, and other structures using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Ensure that the application of paint meets quality and safety standards.
• Address minor repairs and maintenance issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to tackle more complex repairs.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment, tools, and machinery relevant to painting and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and painting projects.
• Document paint colors and materials used for future reference.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while performing duties.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other staff regarding maintenance and painting projects.
• Develop and adhere to schedules for routine maintenance, painting projects, and repairs.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure efficient use of time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in maintenance and painting.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards.
