Job Title: Maintenance Tech
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
PURPOSE:
Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to trouble shoot and repair hydraulic a mechanical equipment as well as assist with equipment installation and start up. Maintain equipment by performing routine PM activity and inspections.
Duties include but not limited to:
Equipment Maintenance
Perform equipment safety inspections and schedule corrective action with Maintenance planner.
Ensure maintenance repairs are performed correct and professionally in compliance with Austin Powder standards.
Proficient with (24v / 120 v ) single phase power and equipment controls.
Ability to trouble shoot basic circuits and motor drive controls.
Work with Engineering to resolve reoccurring break downs.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Perform light fabrication / carpentry / welding.
Perform fire extinguisher inspections
Ability to thread and install pipping.
Perform Weekly FOD / housekeeping inspections.
Ability to work from extended heights.
Communication/Reporting
Attend daily/weekly Maintenance meetings
Communicate part inventory concerns to the maintenance planner.
Review work order completions and status with Maintenance planner.
Document and report equipment deficiencies.
Maintain open communication with engineering/production and upper management.
Report workorder status to production and provide feedback on progress.
Ensure part inventory is being backflushed when they are used, and reordering stock is requested.
Safety
Always remain Safety conscious and follow BOS guidelines.
Participate in Safety Evacuation Drills.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
Follow PPE / lockout-tagout requirements.
Personal requirements
The ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
Walk and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work overtime when necessary.
Be able to lift 50lbs from and squatted position.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Excellent communication skills.
Education requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
