Position Title Product Manager

1.0 OVERVIEW Digital Reef is a small, fast paced and growing division of TransPerfect Legal developing cutting edge information products on top of a highly scalable big-data platform. Our industry leading product enables our customers to process large volumes of unstructured electronic data quickly. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work with many advanced technologies while providing solutions to challenging problems working with big data and analytics.

2.0 DESCRIPTION • Define the product strategy and roadmap in close consultation with the solution engineers, customers and the development manager

• Oversee product development effort for internal teams as well as vendors

• Perform regular competitive analysis for our products

• Be an expert with respect to the competition

• Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor

3.0 REQUIRED SKILLS

• Project Management: Proficient in managing complex projects with a focus on strict timelines and budget constraints typical to legal cases.

Experience with project management tools and methodologies specific to legal processes is a plus

• Technical Proficiency: Deep technical knowledge relevant to eDiscovery software and tools. Ability to liaise with IT and technical teams to oversee the development, deployment, and management of eDiscovery technologies

• Analytical and Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to solve complex legal and technical challenges, particularly in optimizing the processing and review of large datasets

• Cross-functional Leadership and Collaboration: Skills in leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including legal, IT, and external partners, to ensure alignment and efficient project execution.

•Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively negotiate with and present to stakeholders, including legal teams, clients, and senior management

• Data-driven Decision Making: Capability to utilize data analytics to drive improvements in process efficiency and effectiveness, enhancing the overall value of eDiscovery phases

• User Experience Focus: Understanding of the importance of user experience in the development of eDiscovery tools, ensuring they are accessible, intuitive, and effective for legal professionals.

• Innovative Thinking: Ability to drive innovation in eDiscovery processes and tools, staying ahead of technological advancements to provide cutting-edge solutions

• Customer-centric Approach: Dedicated to understanding and meeting the unique needs of legal professionals and clients, ensuring that products deliver maximum relevance and utility 4.0

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

• eDiscovery Knowledge: Profound understanding of eDiscovery processes, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, and production of electronically stored information (ESI)

• Early Case Assessment Expertise: Experience with ECA strategies and tools to effectively assess risks and costs early in the litigation process, facilitating more informed decision-making

5.0 DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Legal Compliance and Standards: Strong awareness of legal compliance issues related to data handling and processing, including knowledge of relevant laws and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and others pertinent to data privacy and security
