What You’ll DoAs a Construction Project Manager, you will be overseeing Rural King new store buildouts and large capex projects with the onsite construction team and act as the link between all project stakeholders. This position will be responsible for orderliness on site and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The Project Manager is responsible for making sure the quality standards are met, and all equipment and materials are available on site from start to finish.
  • Preform scope of works (SOW) and budgets for projects.
  • Lead and manage the on-site construction teams.
  • Coordinate and oversee all work on site.
  • Conduct bid meetings with contractors.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings will all subs and contractors.
  • Attend production meetings.
  • Responsible for reviewing, becoming familiar, and adhering to the schedule and budget.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Place orders for materials and responsible for equipment and materials on site.
  • Adhere to the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work effectively and efficiently to keep projects within budget and quality guidelines.
  • Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
  • Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
  • Manage and perform onsite duties consisting of, but not limited to framing, demo, light construction, and punch items.
  • Responsible for acting as the liaison with inspection authorities regarding approvals and building certificate of occupation.
  • Responsible for a smooth transition between construction and operations and ensuring all departments are meeting their deadlines.
  • Lead and drive impactful projects that directly contribute to the success and growth of Rural King.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualities For Success
  • At least 8 years of commercial construction experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
  • Ability to travel 75% of work schedule.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects at a time.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn taking and uploading photographs.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn scheduling software systems.
  • Experience in presenting information to individuals or groups in a clear, engaging, and persuasive manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and address challenges that may arise in relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing complex projects, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient resources to complete a project on time.
  • Adaptable in response to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving business needs.
  • Experience in negotiating favorable pricing and terms with suppliers to optimize procurement processes.
  • Ability to remain composed and focused during high-pressure situations, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.
