Duties:

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect any ocular abnormalities
- Diagnose and treat various visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
- Monitor and manage eye health issues such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care
- Stay informed about advancements in optometry practices and technologies

Requirements:

- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
- State licensure to practice optometry
- Strong knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including seniors
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and senior care practices
