Due to an internal promotion, manufacturer is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee the quality systems and product quality at multiple locations with solid quality records. The Quality Manager will report to a Corporate Quality Lead and work closely with the Plant Manager on quality initiatives and will be responsible for the following tasks:
Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, be organized, have excellent detail oriented skills and enjoy being hands on in the process. This position is desk driven and will spend up to 15% of the time on the manufacturing floor. Candidates should be willing to oversee multiple sites within three hours of one another. REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Manager:
1. Minimum of a Bachelorβs degree; a science field is preferred
2. At least 3-5 years in a similar manufacturing quality management position
3. Experience overseeing others
4. Experience overseeing quality in blending and/or formulation environments, including chemical, food, beverage or pharmaceutical related industries
5. Experience working in regulated environments (FDA, GFSI, BRC, etc.)
6. Strong background with root cause analysis and CAPA (corrective and preventative action)
7. Strong quality auditing background
8. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Quality certifications
2. Lean and/or Six Sigma
3. Multi-plant responsibilities
4. Power BI
5. Strong background with statistical analysis
