A Manager of Analytics leads a team of Data Analytics Associates, Specialists, and/or Supervisors that are accountable for the successful execution and fulfillment of strategic program objectives. Reporting to a Senior Manager or Director of Analytics, an individual in this role is responsible to oversee various aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring processes run smoothly, resources are optimized, and strategic goals are met. You will drive the day-to-day operations of a team through mentoring and providing direction to employees, monitoring work quality, and coaching on performance. This individual also applies a continuous improvement mindset, makes recommendations on process and/or system enhancements, and propagates a continuous improvement culture across the team. This individual will drive high-performance through accountability and coaching, fostering a foundation of respect and trust with the analytics team, stakeholder community and other partners.
Essential Functions:
  • Mentoring, coaching, and contributing to the development of the team on standard policies, procedures and best practices while promoting professional growth
  • Developing and utilizing operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gather insights, track Performance, drive accountability and Customer delight
  • Owning execution and cross-functional accountability throughout WWT Supply Chain and IT
  • Ensuring Global Operations Data Strategy is carried out balancing strategic direction with the tactical needs of the organization
  • Ensuring complex issues are resolved across multiple reporting platforms and data sources
  • Making decisions in Analytics staffing and hiring decisions
  • Acting as a thought leader to challenge teams, elevate Performance and ensure continuous improvement
  • Communicating clearly to drive expectations and instill consistency amongst the team
  • Stewarding the culture through utilization of the World Wide Technology Integrated Management and leadership tools and concepts
  • Provide guidance as the Thought Leader around new technologies and practices in Data Analytics market today
  • Prioritizes multiple projects in varying sizes across Operations teams, making final decisions about priorities, timing and resources
  • Provide feedback/input to cross functional Analytical groups across the company to ensure consistency in process and delivery is met
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or Data Analytics, or Supply Chain Operations required (a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • A minimum of 7 years progressive experience in a related field

  • Monitors resource usage across projects or programs, identifying areas or synergy or redundancy and looking for ways to optimize efficiency
  • Ensures that complex technical communications are crafted with non-technical audiences in mind; coaches others on the best way to simplify terminology and use visual aids to describe concepts
  • Ensures the right processes and practices are in place to support the generation of communications that allow for clear and consistent comprehension of complex and technical information across the business and externally
  • Successfully represents the business by consistently delivering emerging technical information in interesting and engaging ways to external stakeholders and the public, expertly explaining complex, technical concepts in a universally understandable way
  • Promotes a culture that values data-driven business decisions, products and processes
  • Provides input into and implements organization-wide plans to collect, store and use big data sets
  • Develops advanced analytical models and tools to interpret big data, and leverages results to accelerate innovation, synergies and transformation across the organization
  • Creates measures to maximize resource utilization; builds reports and tools to improve operational efficiency
  • Designs departmental improvements that impact the quality of products, services and processes
  • Serves as an expert in continuous improvement; develops department-wide measures to track improvements and monitor quality
  • Develops advanced or breakthrough insights from the interpretation of data; presents recommendations in a compelling way to support business decisions
  • Advises key stakeholders by continuously helping them to successfully navigate through critical business changes
  • Utilizes deep expertise and contextual awareness to explore complex issues with customers and provide trusted advice
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to others on new ideas and solutions that will improve current business processes and address challenges, and leverages other subject matter experts as needed to develop solutions
  • Strategically resolves the most complex or unusual problems escalated to this level; guides teams across disciplines to implement effective resolutions
  • Ensures that solutions for complex issues achieve the organization's objectives and standards, providing strategic guidance if an alternative needs to be developed
  • Understanding of Tableau, Power BI or analytical equivalent and their capabilities required
