Surety Family of Companies is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Marlton, NJ

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Staff Accountant may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintains the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company
  • Reviews entries to the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy and compliance with the company’s and established accounting
  • Responsible for monthly and year end closing of the general ledger including preparation of journal entries.
  • Preparation of interim, year-end and comparative financial
  • Performs and provides analysis of current results to prior periods and or
  • Prepares required government reports as directed and responds to
  • Responsible for review of payroll
  • Assists in the coordination of year end audit, preparation of schedules and documents for independent auditors.
  • Preparation of operation data and special reports as required including interim and year-end financial statements. Maintain the company system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and
  • Performs any other duties as requested by the

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • 2-4 years of Accounting Experience

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office; a fax machine; a copier/scanning machine; and a multi-line telephone. Additionally, the individual should exhibit proficiency in accounting software programs and spreadsheet applications.
