PROMAN Staffing is partnering with our client who is an Italian industry group of excellence in the production industry to hire a hands-on, critical-thinking MAINTENANCE ELECTRICAN for their facility in Marion, NC.

This is a DIRECT HIRE Opportunity

  • MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN performs complex repairs and maintenance of plant instrumentation equipment. Conducts the most complex level of repairs for high-tech control panels/systems to ensure proper operation throughout the plant. Able to identify problems, troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair units, make corrections or adjustments, and install or add-on panels, parts, or systems. Requires the use of diagrams, specifications, tools, gauges, and meters. Diagnose and remedy any electrical trouble quickly to avoid shutdowns. May work without supervision or with little supervision and make calls in the field. In addition to promoting a safe/good work environment.

Maintenance Electrician Functions:

  • operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications; and troubleshoots malfunctions and complies with NEC standards on wiring and installations.
  • sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
  • continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Maintenance Electrician Requirements:

  • school diploma or equivalent
  • in Technical Discipline preferred with at least 5 years of experience in this trade, or two years preferred.
  • player; gets along with others.
  • Training accompanied by several years of on-the-job experience.
  • to work in both hot/humid and cold environments.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a manufacturing environment which requires a thorough knowledge of the industry and understanding of the importance of safety.
