Description
Supervise the daily duties and activities of workers engaged in the Plumbing Shop and Zone coverage operations. Supervise the labor force needed to complete all plumbing projects.
Figure cost estimates, material take-off. Schedule of values needed to complete plumbing projects. Assign priorities; assist in requisitions and obtaining necessary supplies to complete assigned task.
Prepare performance evaluations on all subordinate employees according to established policy. Serve as a worker in all these areas as needed on a daily and on-going basis.
Supervise and assist the staff assigned to this position in all plumbing tasks. This is to include but not limited to plumbing fixtures, sinks, valves, commodes, water-heaters, water coolers, boilers, thermal lines, steam lines, steam traps, drain lines, sewage lines, floor drains, steam kettles, dish machines, new construction, and all other related repairs to keep Sunland operating on a daily and on-going basis.
Perform daily Boiler checks for proper PH and conductivity. Act as lead in Boiler operations, maintenance, and repairs.
Assist the Utilities Maintenance Manager in the preparation and application of a full preventative program on all the buildings and equipment here at Sunland.
This will be done on a daily and on-going basis.
Assist the Utilities Maintenance Manager in prioritizing daily assignments, preparation of request, reports, obtaining material and supplies.
Keeping abreast of new and improved methods of operation. Maintain a tool inventory on all tools and equipment assigned to the plumbing staff and shop.
Perform all other related duties as required.
Obtain all staff training deemed mandatory and insure direct reports have their required training completed within required dates.
Minimum Requirements
Experience, education, and / or training used to meet the minimum qualifications and in response to the qualifying questions must be verifiable through information contained in your application.
This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035.
This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
