Family Life Counseling and Psychiatric Services is Hiring a Family Counselor Near Mansfield, OH
- Licensed in either social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy (LSW, LPC, LPCC, LISW, MFT, IMFT)
- Comfortable providing a treatment model that is highly directive.
- Comfortable conducting sessions with multiple persons present (typically the youth and his/her caregiver, age-appropriate siblings, and other supports)
- Able to schedule family therapy sessions when the family is available
- Willing to be observed by the Program Director to enhance their skills in implementing the Structural & Strategic Family Therapy treatment model
- Able to participate in a weekly one-hour group supervision with the Program Director
- Able and willing to participate in an intensive one-week training in the Structural & Strategic Family Therapy Treatment model (30-hour training)
- Typical job duties include the following:
- Weekly sessions with each family
- Maintaining copies of all program handouts
- Utilizing Flip Charts in each session and notifying site leadership of need to purchase more flip charts
- Utilizing Power Point to complete Family Plans for each family (Family Plans are a collection of Power point slides that are given to the family upon completion of the program)
- Maintaining all client data
