We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in the engineering industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical knowledge, and equipment maintenance. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and opportunities for career advancement. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be an essential part of our team, playing a vital role in ensuring our production operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
- Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
- Collaborate with other professionals in solving complex problems related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the engineering industry.
- Proven experience in manufacturing, mechanical knowledge, and equipment maintenance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and operation manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex mechanical problems.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, and testing equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in mechanical repair is a plus.
- Certification in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment or machinery.
