About The OrganizationSaVida Health, a private equity backed healthcare company, provides outpatient opiate and alcohol addiction treatment services. SaVida Health's care model includes medical care, counseling, comprehensive toxicology testing, case management and medical management of psychiatric medications. SaVida is headquartered in Nashville, TN and currently operates in Massachusetts, Maine, Delaware, Vermont, Tennessee and Virginia and is developing the capability to expand rapidly to meet the needs of patients suffering from opiate and alcohol addiction.
Role And Responsibilities
  • Provide non-clinical, peer-based services
  • Supports our patients in the recovery process
  • Patient outreach
  • Orients patient to recovery program
  • Forms and develops meaningful relationships with our patients
  • Mentor patients as a role model when needed, for coping, self-care and wellness tools and skills
  • Share own recovery story with patients in order to promote long-term recovery (experiences, skills, strengths and community resources)
  • Other related duties as required
Work Schedule
  • Full-time 32-40 hours per week
Qualifications And Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent
Peer Recovery Specialist certification required.
Minimum of 2 years of sustained sobriety from substance misuse.
Preferred SkillsAbility to work courteously with the general public, individuals in recovery, medical, legal and community-based organizations.
Ability to work independently and as part of the team
Computer literacy; typing skills, MS Word, MS Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to accept direction and adhere to appropriately established boundaries.
Ability to build strong, productive relationships with a diverse population.
Thorough understanding of stressors that can impact parents in recovery from opiate use disorders
Able to maintain patient confidentiality
