Position Description:

The CNC Machinist performs detailed machine setups on 3 and 5 axis machines, has G & M code knowledge, and can run parts with little to no supervision. You are responsible for inspecting each part you manufacture and for overall perfect quality parts. We may have a need to have you assist in other areas of the facility where you may have a chance to learn other shop practices. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform machine setups quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate machines to produce production runs of parts.
• Able to read operation sheets and blueprints.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and other staff.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred.
• 3 years of CNC machine operation
• Okuma control knowledge a plus
• G & M code fluency
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity.
• Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Interested in learning with, and from, engineering and programming team to improve operations.
