Our client is a subsidiary of a large publicly traded manufacturing group. They specialize in the production of a variety of products for the medical device, automobile, and aerospace industries!

They are adding an accountant to their team who will assist in the period end closes, financial reporting, as well as analyze trends, costs, and revenues.

This position will begin onsite for the initial training period and then drop back to a hybrid schedule (3 days in office and 2 days from home).

Responsibilities:

• Assist in closing the accounting period, which involves preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and performing variance analysis.
• Implement existing accounting and reporting controls and procedures during the monthly and quarterly close, including departmental close packages, financial reporting reconciliations, support for financial reporting, analytics, and efficiency metrics.
• Fulfill internal and external audit requirements for specific assigned areas.
• Collaborate with the Tax team for various tax and renewal filings.
• Oversee revenue recognition related to the Ecommerce website.
• Continuously review current procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements to ensure timely monthly close, accuracy of accounting entries, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct research and provide recommendations for complex accounting scenarios.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or equivalent experience is required
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience is required (combination of private manufacturing and public experience preferred)
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Oracle and Hyperion Financial management experience helpful
