Qualifications: A HS diploma or equivalent is the minimum educational qualification. The applicant must:

• - be able and willing to secure full licensure for operating a school bus in the state of Illinois upon being hired
• - have a good driving record and valid driver's license
• - possess strong organizational, managerial and leadership skills
• - have a general knowledge of school buses, other district vehicles and related equipment
• - possess the ability to work collaboratively and maintain and build positive relationships with staff, students and community members through effective and courtesy communication
• - possess abilities in interviewing and evaluating personnel
• - be able to work in a team environment
• - complete tasks, such as state reporting, payroll documents and purchase orders in a timely manner

Description: This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation for all students to allow them to access curricular and extracurricular programming and activities offered by the District's schools. This position is also responsible for ensuring the conforming with all federal and state laws and regulations regarding school transportation, recruiting/training/supervising all transportation personnel and ensuring all District vehicles are operating safely. This is a 12 month, exempt position. Applicants must be able to work early morning or evening hours when needed.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
