Job Summary
Prime and paint all signs to an automotive quality finish (no runs, craters, etc.)
Job Responsibilities
· Prime and paint all signs to automotive quality finish.
· Look up formulas and mix paint thickness according to instructions and properly store when finished.
· Bleed paint gun prior to painting.
· Wear, clean, and store all personal protective painting equipment including respirator.
· Inspect fresh air pumps and change filter when necessary.
· Read shop drawings and sales orders to paint correct color, gloss, etc..
· Inspect all the signs after paint for runs, craters, etc..
· Put down new flooring in paint booth.
· Change filters in paint booth.
· Operate and maintain all required tools.
· Dispose of hazardous materials, filters, dirty rags, and empty paint cans.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience
· High School diploma or GED required
· Minimum of 1 year industrial painting experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Read a tape measure
· Know painter related terms
· Fire Marshall Codes and Regulations familiarity
· Cognitive thinking skills
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with some overtime varying.
· First shift core hours are: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm M-F.
· Second shift hours are: 2:30 pm to 1:00 am M- Th.
· Weekend shift hours are: 9:00 am to 9:30 pm F-S-S
Physical Demands
This position will require an employee to be able to be in motion on a hard surface. Lifting, bending, and stretching will be frequent. Noise level of an average production floor.
