Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide essential daily living assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help others and be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those under their care.
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks
- Monitor and report changes in client's health or behavior
- Support individuals with dementia care and developmental disabilities
- Coordinate appointments and transportation for clients
- Administer medication as directed
Skills:
- Experience in meal preparation and nutrition management
- Knowledge of dementia care practices
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and appointments
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with clients
- Familiarity with assisted living facilities and hospice care services
- First aid certification is a plus
- Ability to drive for client transportation needs
