Position: Buyer Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Materials Supervisor Business Unit: Pro-Grade Effective Date: 3/19/2024 Job Overview The Buyer position is responsible for procurement and sourcing of components from vendors to meet plant requirements. Job Responsibilities • Performs day-to-day purchasing activities including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, data maintenance, and inventory management of assigned raw material/parts to meet facilities production schedules. • Track shipping progress of raw material/parts to ensure time schedules and delivery are met, while informing appropriate personnel of issues. Expedite production of parts as required. • Responsible for system data integrity when it comes to adjustment entries. • Assist in reconciling procurement match errors for correct pricing and proper receipts. • Manages supplier/vendor relations; responsible for addressing and problem-solving purchasing/supply chain issues. • Cooperates and communicates with other disciplines within company. • Handles the acknowledgement of materials and maintenance of purchasing records. • Completes special projects and assignments. • Other duties, as assigned. Education – Experience Required • 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant field. • Organized and disciplined with excellent time management skills. Ability to properly identify and set priorities. • Advance oral and written communication skills. • Experience with pull system type replenishment process • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook • Domestic travel as required. Pay 16.00 -18.50.
