Twin Rivers Paper is Hiring a Quality Supervisor Near Madawaska, ME

Reporting to the Quality Superintendent, the Quality Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Actively supporting and promoting safe work practices throughout the mill by being present at safety activities and personally encouraging safe behaviors. Conducting monthly safety meeting and performing safety audits.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to salaried and hourly employees while promoting employee involvement and participation in problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, rules, regulations and the collective agreement, and implementing appropriate measures as required.
  • Working closely with sales employees and customer service to ensure quality products are available to customers.
  • Researching quality issues and deciding on the disposition of inventory.
  • Supporting technical services with quality issues and dealing with customers.
  • Ensuring department compliance with ISO standards.
  • Assisting with Product Stewardship and Food Safety Policy processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in pulp and paper industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal relationship skills. Detail oriented, with experience which demonstrates data analysis and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio).
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and/or leading departmental teams.
