Direct Service Professional DSP
The Beacon Keystone Community is looking for hard working, dependable, compassionate and motivated individuals to give of themselves to help enrich the lives of our residents.
Job Description
Direct Support Professionals work with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities by teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry.
Additional duties may include :
- Assisting residents with daily personal tasks, including toileting, bathing, brushing teeth and dressing
- Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying
- Transporting residents to medical appointments as needed
- Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific resident dietary needs.
- Encouraging resident engagement in social activities
Qualifications :
- This is an entry level position and no previous experience in this field is required
- Applicants must have a HS diploma or GED
- Must be at least 19 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
