Summary
- Department: Observation Unit
- RN Medical Surgical with Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical practice improvement (CPI) and 2 professional references. **
- Shift timing: Early Morning 06:45 - 19:15 hours
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Unit Capacity: 24 Beds
- Population Served: Observation Unit.
- The most frequent diagnosis for this patient population includes: cardio-respiratory conditions, chest pain, pneumonia, angina, CHF, COPD, Asthma, Gastro-intestinal complaints, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, mental status alteration, syncopal episodes, and confusion.
- Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60 )
