We are seeking a Quality Technician IV for our Monroe, WI. This role will serve as support and backup for the Quality Manager with a strong focus on quality documentation, including; creation, maintenance, and implementation of SOPS, policies, and all other Quality related documents at all ER USA locations. Responsible for researching all laws and regulations impacting the quality aspects of Emmi Roth USA and updating SOPs, policies, and all other Quality related documents.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·Act as support for Quality Manager on department and company initiatives

·Work with Quality Manager and Quality staff to define, create, and implement corporate-level policies (FSMA, FSSC, etc.) andprovide assistance to Quality Tech III with the definition, creation, and implementation of site-level polices (SOPs, lab procedures) at all ER USA locations.

·Responsible for accuracy, maintenance, and completion of policies and food safety documentation at all ER USA locations

·Responsible for researching all laws and regulations impacting the quality aspects of Emmi Roth USA and updating SOPs, policies, and all other Quality related documents and effectively communicating any changes to impacted department leaders.

·Effectively communicate, implement, and maintain quality standards at all ER USA locations

·Train and guide Quality staff on relevant quality tools, industry best practices, and ongoing education

·Provide support to laboratory technicians, analysts and operators in the use of quality policies

·Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations

·Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications

·Actively assists Quality Manager and Quality staff with internal, 3rd party, and customer audits, as needed

·Order supplies, as needed

·Attend staff and department meetings

·Actively participate on EOE Teams that improve workplace safety, reduce waste and improve factory efficiencies

·May be required to work overtime if deemed necessary with occasional weekend work.

·Performs all other duties as assigned

·Report any and all injuries to your supervisor or manager at the time of injury

·Complete all required training in a timely manner

·Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, FSSC 22000)

·Schedule Quality Techs, review and approve time off requests

·Work with purchasing and supply chain to establish quality requirements for external suppliers

·Work with operations and quality assurance to understand current demands on laboratory services

·Review customer quality requirements and ensure they are met

·Work with and communicate effectively with coworkers, subcontractors, staff, consultants, etc.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

·Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or a related field

·HACCP certification

·Preventative Controls Qualified Individual

·Microbiology and food safety training

·Knowledge of cheesemaking, Pasteurization Milk Ordinance (PMO), and food safety

·Valid Driver’s license and insurance

·A personal vehicle is required, depending on location

·Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages

·Ability to perform algebraic calculations

·Intermediate computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·Ability to work with automated equipment

·Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure

·History of good attendance

·Excellent organization and problem-solving skills

·Detail-oriented nature

·Ability to work with minimal supervision

·Travel required on a weekly basis within town or to other ER USA locations
