We're in search of a seasoned Jewelry Appraiser to join our client’s team. Become a part of our artisans' community committed to creating top-notch, Louisiana-crafted jewelry, and immerse yourself in our unmatched concierge service firsthand.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive fine jewelry appraisals.
- Utilize Instappraise software for streamlined appraisal processes.
- Manage inventory curation.
- Assist sales staff in assessing trade-ins.
- Serve as on-site subject matter expert for customer inquiries regarding jewelry appraisals.
- Collaborate with department managers, the sales team, and select clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide support and interact with diamond buyers and the in-house manufacturing team.
- Pursue expertise in purchasing, sourcing, and evaluating diamonds within the industry.
- Participate in major trade shows as a valuable member of our buying, design, and sourcing team.
- Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma from The Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in appraising fine jewelry, colored stones and diamonds, with a track record of consistently delivering high-quality appraisals.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, delegate tasks, and collaborate within a team environment.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development through participation in workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) Certified Member.
- Other pertinent certifications in the jewelry appraisal industry.
- Location: Onsite
- Workdays Schedule:
- Scheduled workdays will fall Tuesday through Saturday
- Closed Sunday and Monday
- Work schedule will fall within core hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm
- Salary of up to $90,000, based on experience, plus bonuses.
