Independently performs skilled electrical, instrument and controls maintenance work on process equipment associated with a variety of electronic and electrical equipment used in the multi-step process for the purification of landfill gas (LFG) to pipeline quality natural gas (LG) and power generation. Electrical and instrumentation maintenance includes troubleshooting, calibrating, configuring, installing, repairing, and commissioning industrial equipment and instrumentation. Technician is responsible for completing high priority items in reasonable time frames and has the flexibility to coordinate multiple activities.
Technician must be capable and skilled in safely performing work on electrical systems voltages up to 480V. Equipment includes but is not limited to motors, generators, breakers, starters, transformers, programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives, circuity & wiring, flow-meters, analyzers, temperature/pressure instruments, and valves. Individual should be capable of working with a minimum of supervision and have the capability of analyzing and troubleshooting the processes to maintain reliable and efficient operation of the facility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Plant environment with exposure to seasonal weather conditions and temperature changes, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and loud noise. Incumbent will be required to adhere to safety guidelines, including wearing hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes and any task appropriate personal protection equipment.
