Job Description
Herb Chambers Flagship Motor Cars of Lynnfield is currently searching for a Vehicle Acquisition specialist (VAS) to take a leadership role in our luxury dealership.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the largest auto dealership company in New England.
Position Overview :
The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist (VAS) is an in-store associate focused and specifically trained to acquire additional inventory for the dealership by actively prospecting outside auto resources and engaging with private parties looking to sell their vehicle.
This role will primarily make cold contact with prospects who have their vehicle advertised for sale, both online and as walk-ins to the store.
They will also be responsible for setting up appointments at the dealership for appraisals. The VAS career path could eventually lead to a Vehicle Acquisition Manager (VAM) role, which heads the dealer acquisition strategy of all used car vehicles, including physical and online auctions.
Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain a buying network
- Review vehicle condition reports
- Determine wholesale and retail prices
- Inspect and accept vehicles arriving onsite
- Execute a reconditioning plan to prepare vehicle for sale
- Turn prospective customers over to a sales team for a sales opportunity
- Work with management to identify current inventory needs.

Requirements
- Automotive and pricing experience preferred
- Extremely self-motivated
- Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
- Ability to drive an exceptional Customer experience.
- Demonstrated communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
- Organization and follow-up skills.
- Experience and desire to work with technology.
- Valid In-State Driver's License and an acceptable, safe driving record
- Available to work flexible hours and weekends
