The Kingdom East School District seeks a licensed (or eligible) special educator assigned to theLyndon Town School. This position provides direct instruction to students and consultation toclassroom teachers serving learners with special needs. In addition to the consultative role, thisposition provides leadership in the facilitation and development of effective individualizededucation programs (IEPs) and the coordination of related services designed to support studentgrowth and achievement. The position requires applicants to possess a thorough understanding ofspecial education law, cognitive/social emotional development, IEP development and classroominterventions within a tiered system of supportive instruction. The Lyndon Town School isteam-oriented and operates under a Professional Learning Communities (PLC) model. Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills are also required.Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom ofVermont.
