CHCL seeks to hire a Texas licensed Certified Nurse Midwife who has a heart for working with low-income and underserved populations. The Certified Nurse Midwife provides primary and preventative women's health care services relating to pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, family planning, and routine gynecological needs as part of a health care team in an ambulatory care setting. The Certified Nurse Midwife works under the supervision of a licensed physician pursuant to a collaborative practice agreement.
Duties include:
Education: Registered nurse and successful completion of a certified post-graduate program for nurse-midwives.
Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. BSN or advanced degree, certification and/or license in specialty. Maintains current DEA license. Current in Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS).
Experience: Prefer experience but will consider new graduate.
Expertise: Women's health and pregnancy.
Language: English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Travel: Occasionally; valid Texas driver’s license and current auto insurance required; must have reliable and safe transportation.
Hours of Work: 8am-5pm M-F with some weekend/evening work.
