What You’ll Do
- Determine student's Financial Aid eligibility for Title IV Financial Aid- including grants and loans
- Advise and support the students on Financial Aid application procedures, costs, indebtedness, money management, and financial budgeting
- Obtain relevant information from prospective students to help identify and create an individualized financial plan
- Answer questions from students, parents, or guardians pertaining to the Financial Aid process and student eligibility
- Maintain positive communication with the Financial Aid Team, Admissions Team, and Student Accounts Team
- Maintain and follow compliance of all Federal, State, and Institutional Financial Aid programs, including Federal Pell Grants and state grant programs
- Conduct regular reviews of student files to ensure documentation is accurate and in compliance
- Evaluate information provided by the student and make revisions to needs or dependency status
- Possess a high level of integrity and respond professionally to sensitive information
- A great listener who's able to establish rapport through virtual connections
- Ability to simplify financial discussions to help students feel confident
- Operates with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy
- Ability to drive business with an analytical and proactive mindset
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or a minimum 3 years of related work experience
- General working knowledge of financial practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
