Highpoint Transport LLC is Hiring a Hot Shot Driver Near Louisburg, NC

HotShot Driver- CDL /Clean Driving Record.

Currently seeking to hire experienced customer oriented CDL driver to join our team. You must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently. Your responsibilities will include operating our a Ram 3500 with a 40 foot Gooseneck trailer. This is a Hotshot set up! You will need to be familiar with loading the trailer and must have the ability to navigate GPS and use maps accurately. You also must have the ability to perform pre and post trip inspections daily to ensure all defects are documented.

We are looking for a Driver to transport various types of freight in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions and managing payments. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid CDL Class A.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT drug screening exam.
  • Must report all DOT Inspections ASAP.
  • Must be willing to run 48 states
  • Must turn in all diesel receipts anytime truck is parked at yard (With gallons on every receipt)
  • Must report any Maintenance issues ASAP.
  • Must comply with all DOT ELD Mandates.
  • Must not have a problem with communication to dispatcher.
  • Must know how to secure cargo using chains, binders, straps, dunnage, chocks etc.
  • Must know how to go through a DOT Inspection with an DOT Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip.
  • Collect payments and issue receipts.
  • Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions.
  • Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed.
  • Properly secure all freight.
  • Load and unload cargo, when necessary (autos/equipment).
  • Report any issues or incidents immediately to dispatcher.
  • Inspect truck before and after trip.
  • You will be required to use an in-cab ELD with dual facing dash cam.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Driver.
  • Previous experience in truck driving or other related field.
  • Ability to work for long hours.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Maintain Professional Relationships with our customers while providing them with products and services of exceptional quality.
  • Maintain truck and equipment.
  • No smoking in vehicle.
  • Must be safety oriented.
  • TWIC card (preferred).
  • Knowledgeable on utilizing chains, straps, binders, and tarps for load securement.
  • Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods.
  • Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts.
  • A polite and professional disposition.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour).
  • A high school diploma.
