Job Description:As a Dental Assistant at Andre Dental Louisa, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our dentists and hygienists in providing outstanding patient care. Your responsibilities will involve close collaboration with our clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Chairside Assistance: Prepare treatment rooms, assist during dental procedures, and maintain a sterile environment.
- Patient Care: Welcome and prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort throughout their visit.
- X-Ray Imaging: Take and process dental X-rays following safety protocols as directed by the dentist.
- Sterilization: Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to comply with infection control guidelines.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record patient information, treatment plans, and dental charting in electronic health records.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage dental supplies, ensuring adequate stock through ordering and restocking as needed.
- Administrative Support: Assist with front desk tasks, including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and processing payments.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team to deliver comprehensive patient care and maintain a positive work environment.
- Dental Assistant Certification: Completion of an accredited dental assistant program with current certification.
- X-Ray Certification: Compliance with state regulations for X-ray certification.
- Dental Software Proficiency: Experience with dental practice management software is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
