Global HIT is Hiring a Collections Specialist Near Los Angeles, CA

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts receivable, medical billing, and account analysis. The Collection Agent will be responsible for managing overdue accounts, negotiating payment terms, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

- Contact customers to secure payment on overdue accounts
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers
- Review and analyze accounts to determine the best course of action
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information
- Utilize phone etiquette when communicating with customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve outstanding issues

Skills:

- Proficiency in medical collection procedures
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and debits/credits
- Experience in account reconciliation and analysis
- Ability to code and categorize accounts accurately
- Excellent negotiation skills for resolving payment disputes
- Familiarity with medical billing processes
