Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:Designs, develops, tests, and evaluates software and systems that enable computers to perform their applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Requires a degree in software engineering design and development. Excludes paraprofessional positions.: Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, applying principles and techniques ofcomputer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interfacebetween hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system. Formulates and designs software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences ofdesign. Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation. Consults with customer concerning maintenance of software system. May coordinate installation of software system.We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer with a strong background in computer vision who is enthusiastic to Client and implement solutions on our Robotics platforms. As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will have an exciting opportunityto advance our card sorting robotic platforms. Your contributions will help shape the future of our robots.-What You Bring to the TeamBachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a combination of education and experience3 years of experience in working with computer vision algorithms.Expertise in Python, C , and SQLExpertise with OpenCV and home-rolled systemsAbility to work unsupervised to meet deadlinesExperience with Linux and AWS administration and familiar with basic network conceptsExperience with Javascript-You'll go beyond if you havePrevious robotics experienceExperience working with AI/Client for image processing and recognitionExperience with 3D printers and/or 3D printer softwareInterest and experience within the hobby gaming industry, sports cards and collectable cardsRoca Robotics- sort collectible cardsRun image recognition software to list and sell on eBay marketplaceJoining computer vision teamWorking with Open CV - not much AI or Machine Learning usedExpand into sports cards- identifying, organizing, and sorting themWorking with the robots writing and interacting code- not primary responsibilityBuilding new robotic hardware and looking to test the hardware
