Contracts Manager
Our client is Building Actionable Atmospheric Awareness using weather ballon and satellite technology to Assess, Understand, and Improve ESG Performance to enable financial gain and strategic benefits while improving the global ecology. Our client is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to be the singular point of contact for all matters concerning contracts.
As a startup, many of the contracts are being freshly created in the areas of sales, pricing, government contracts, leases, hiring, NDAs, etc. Someone who has a strong understanding of data contracts, government, and internationally related agreements.
Categories of contracts are in the following areas - master agreements, NDAs, sales agreements, pricing documents. Data contracts for various uses, company, school/university use, government (local, state, military), international, reseller agreements. This person will need to create this department, documents and be able to Grow as Scepter grows.
- Job Activities:
- Craft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of contracts covering a range of transactions.
- Facilitate corporate contract review process, with a focus on legal and risk issues
- Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to company needs.
- Lead the selection, implementation, and maintenance of a company-wide contract management system.
- Lead employee engagement on contract management and compliance, including oversight of employee training.
- Responsible for complying with contracting and purchasing policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Draft and review company contracts and amendments including those for leases, software licenses, service-level and non-disclosure agreements.
- Oversight of corporate professional liability insurances
Specific Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in business - Preferred
- Contracts experience from creation to execution required
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Advanced comprehension of legal concepts with respect to contracts
- Intermediate knowledge of corporate governance in the U.S.
- Expert knowledge of and experience with contract management software
