This state of the art facility has 14 Operating Rooms and a new post-anesthesia care unit where a wide variety of surgical services are provided. These include orthopedic, neurology, general, oncology, laparoscopic, plastics, robotic, vascular, bariatrics, GU, and more. The Perioperative Nurse will play a crucial role in the surgical team. Duties include:
- Preparing the operating room
- Assisting the surgical team during surgical procedures
- Monitoring patients vitals during surgery
- Maintaining a safe environment in the operating room
- Documenting all aspects of the surgical procedure, including the patient's condition before, during, and after surgery, as well as any medications or fluids administered.
The ideal Operating Room Nurse will have their Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, current New York State RN license, and years of acute care operating room experience.
