THIS ROLE:

The Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant and is responsible for maintaining and ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled. This role performs a variety of general accounting tasks, including reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Prepare and maintain the Company’s accounting in QuickBooks.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Assist with external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed.

WHO YOU ARE:

Certifications and Other Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA preferred, but not required
• 1-3 years of experience in relevant accounting roles, with a mix of public and private experience preferred
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
• Proficient with MS Office including intermediate knowledge of Excel
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desire to continually learn and develop.
