Job Title: CAD Designer/Drafter

Job Summary: Dahmes Stainless Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to join our team. The chosen candidate will be working with Mechanical Designers, Project Managers, and the manufacturing team to create technical drawings and models based on engineering and design specifications. The CAD Designer/Drafter should have a basic understanding of engineering and functional requirements when working with specifications, standards, constraints, and parameters. The ideal candidate should be someone who can work independently or as part of a team, is detail-oriented and can produce outstanding results.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Mechanical Designers, Project Managers, and the manufacturing team to create technical drawings and models based on engineering and design specifications.
• Proactively review project designs and ensure they meet customer requirements.
• Produce shop/field drawings to communicate project details.
• Produce job packets for shop release per company standards.
• Continuously look for ways to improve design processes.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a two-year degree in a related field is required.
• Have experience using 2D DraftSight or AutoCAD.
• Have experience using 3D computer-assisted drafting software; Solidworks preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
